Angela Y. Suh
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, which according to some people makes me a true minority! I attended the University of California at Riverside (go Highlanders!). A love of reading led me to major in English. I attended Loyola Law School in Downtown Los Angeles. Having passed the bar on my first try, I started my legal career in civil litigation, focusing on business litigation. I realized fairly soon that helping people sue one another for money was not my passion.
I fell into immigration law but stayed because I love knowing that my work can be life changing for my clients. I am the daughter of immigrants. As an immigration lawyer, this means that I understand not only the mechanics of “how” to get you to where you want to be, but I understand the “why” as well. As a former English major, I love a good story and I believe that every client has a story to tell. I am here to help you tell your story and hopefully, reach your happily ever after.
You haven’t seen my face on a billboard because most of my clients have come by referral – from my clients or other lawyers. I deeply appreciate the trust that my clients place in me and my office when they hire me to handle their immigration case. One of the nicest compliments I ever received was from a court interpreter, who sees attorneys day in and day out at court. He said, “You aren’t like a lot of other attorneys…You really fight for your clients.”
I am a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Immigration Section and the Korean American Bar Association. When I am not at the office, you might find me working on a new recipe, paddleboarding, spending time with my family or eating Korean barbecue.” Feel free to give me a call at 213-739-8889 and let’s see how we can work together.
